Benefits Coordinator
The Benefits Coordinator, reporting to the Director of Global Benefits, will be assisting in the delivery of an exceptional employee experience built on smooth, efficient administration practices. The successful candidate will be comfortable with the execution and completion of critical deliverables, has strong attention to detail, and is driven by a desire to meet business needs through a consultative approach for a fast-growing organization.
You Will:
- Assist with executing new hire, qualified life event, and termination processes.
- Conduct monthly reconciliation on health and welfare self-insured and fully insured programs.
- Assist the Leave Specialist with leave of absence administration including state disability employer paperwork, verification of employment, and providing job description to the leave vendor as needed.
- Document benefits team processes as needed.
- Complete and submit vendor and government compliance forms as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Distribute communication materials to employees.
- Support Open Enrollment as needed.
- Conduct benefits presentations and meetings to educate employees.
- Answer employee questions and concerns regarding benefits, time off policies and leaves of absence.
- Execute on needed processes to comply with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to employee benefits.
- Conduct regular audits to identify and correct compliance issues.
- Investigate and resolve employee benefit issues and inquiries.
- Coordinate with HR, Payroll, and vendors to ensure accurate deductions and reporting.
- Generate reports on benefit utilization, costs, and trends.
- Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings.
- Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as needed.
You Bring:
- Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of experience with U.S. Benefits.
- Strong knowledge of United States employee benefits laws and regulations.
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and ticketing systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in maintaining confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
This is an onsite role at our headquarters in Newark, CA
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$72,700 - $99,990 USD
