Job Title: Technical Advisor
Job Description:
Investigate technical problems and assist Service Center in repairs through the use of the diagnostic center in solving difficult technical problems at the Centers.
Responsibilities:
- Analysis technical reports received from Service Center, prioritize and prepare field technical reports to be sent to Technical Service Operations and Warranty Administration (TSO&WA).
- Investigate technical problems and assists Service Center to repair and inspects complaining customers’ vehicles to verify problems and supervise repair.
- Submits market product reports reflecting customers’ requirements and comparison with competitors.
- Gives guidance to Service Center in solving technical problem using information received from TSO&WA and other Service Center.
- Participates in local and regional new model conformity test drive, report result, and follow-up improvement of weak areas.
- Carries on-the-job training for service staff on new mechanisms and technical problem solving.
- Sets top technical problems based on technical reports and warranty claims and checks warranty claims, technical data and sign claims for submission.
- Follow-up and evaluate test parts result and submit technical reports to the management.
- Monitors Service Center under his supervision in the following areas: Technical reporting, Warranty business, Warranty parts storage, New vehicles storage, Parts test/parts recovery.
Qualifications:
- Automotive Engineering knowledge.
- Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or associates degree in automotive-related field.
- 3 to 5 Years in Automotive Industry (e.g. problem solving and repair experience)
- Computer skills/ data analysis
- Customer handling skills.
- Familiar with technical report and market product reports writing.
- Familiar with new vehicle testing and evaluation.
