Lucid Motors is seeking a highly motivated High Voltage Test Engineer to support the development, validation, and verification of high-voltage (HV) and vehicle charging systems. This role involves designing and executing test plans for onboard chargers, high-voltage power electronics, and related vehicle charging components. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, operate test equipment, analyze data, conduct QA testing and contribute to the advancement of Lucid’s EV technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct QA testing to verify system functionality, reliability, and compliance.
- Develop and execute test plans for HV powertrain components, such as the onboard chargers.
- Operate and maintain high-voltage test equipment, power supplies, electronic loads, and mechanical test setups.
- Perform validation and safety testing, including electrical, thermal, and mechanical assessments.
- Collaborate with engineers and vendors to define test methodologies and ensure compliance with standards such as J1772, ISO 15118, and J3400.
- Support hardware-in-the-loop ( HiL ) / HV Buck converter testing of the charging system, implementing automated test cases.
- Design, build, and maintain test benches for both high and low-voltage systems.
- Automate data logging and analysis using tools like Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Canape, Canaylzer.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose test failures, working with software, hardware, and systems engineers to resolve issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of test procedures, results, and design improvements.
