As a Requirements and Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements and ensuring that all engineering activities align with these requirements throughout the product lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust system designs that meet both customer needs and regulatory standards for lighting systems across different global markets.

Role
· Define and manage system requirements and specifications for new products and systems.
· Manage, own and centralize internal requirement’s software (JAMA).
· Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document internal and regulatory requirements
· Conduct requirements validation and verification activities, including reviews, testing, and analysis.
· Coordinate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to ensure requirements are met throughout the product development lifecycle.
· Identify and resolve system-level issues and trade-offs, balancing performance, cost, and schedule constraint while ensuring high quality is met and internal requirements are adjusted accordingly when needed.
· Maintain traceability of requirements from conception through implementation and validation.
· Prepare and present technical documentation and reports to stakeholders.
· Support risk management activities, including hazard analysis and mitigation planning.
· Stay updated on industry standards, technologies, and best practices related to systems engineering and requirements management.
· Owner for lighting requirements from photometrical, electrical, environmental, regulatory, etc.
· Participate in direct discussions with supplier
· Evaluate, validate and verify system architecture
Qualifications
· 5 plus years of engineering experience in automotive sector
· Proven experience in requirements and systems engineering related to lighting systems
· Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering
· Strong knowledge of automotive standards including ISO 26262, AUTOSAR, SPICE, and CAN protocols, Lighting regulation such as ECE, FMVSS108, GB, etc
· Understanding of IIHS, ADB, HBA procedures and requirements
· Knowledge of optoelectronics, and LED/laser technology
· Familiarity with System Engineering tools e.g CAMEO, SysML
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to manage difficult projects with tight timing, budget constraints.
Preferred Qualifications
· Previous lighting requirements and system engineering at tier1
· Previous automotive OEM experience
· Familiarity with optical design principles, including light distribution, beam patterns, regulatory requirements
Education
· Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics engineering or related field of study (Master is a plus)
