
SR. Project Control Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly capable Senior Project Control Engineer to join our team for a large-scale construction project in King Abdullah Economic City, Jeddah. This role is central to the successful planning, coordination, reporting and delivery of the project, requiring strong technical expertise in schedule development, schedule integration, risk management, and project reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of industrial project lifecycles, contractual frameworks, and the tools required to drive execution performance.
Role Summary:
- Develop and manage fully integrated, resource-loaded project schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment across engineering, procurement, construction, and vendor activities. Lead the integration of equipment suppliers’ timelines into the master project schedule to maintain a coordinated and executable plan.
- Monitor contractor and vendor performance against contractual milestones and key deliverables. Identify scheduling impacts, interface risks, and potential delays; recommend and implement mitigation strategies. Support the assessment and substantiation of change orders, delay analysis, and extension of time claims.
- Maintain and update the project risk register; contribute to structured risk reviews and mitigation planning. Contribute to the development of contingency strategies in collaboration with project leadership.
- Prepare and deliver accurate progress reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to support informed decision-making.
- Provide data-driven insights to enhance project visibility, predictability, and performance control.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in project controls, with a strong focus on industrial construction projects.
- Proven expertise in Primavera P6, Excel, and project control systems (cost, schedule, and reporting).
- Deep understanding of Design and Build frameworks, project life cycles, and international contract standards such as FIDIC.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage complexity and influence stakeholders.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
