You Will:
* Lead the design and development of diagnostic functions at the ECU level to detect, isolate, and manage system faults.
*Develop and maintain robust diagnostic strategies for complex mechatronic and electronic systems
*Conduct system-level analysis and fault injection testing to assess safety criticality, FTTI, robustness, and failure impacts using simulations and sub-system HIL testing.
*Lead FMEA activities for software features and hardware functions to identify and address gaps in diagnostic coverage.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate use cases, FMEAs, simulations, and DV/PV needs into diagnostic system requirements and implementation plans.
* Work with the Functional Safety team to define and architect functions that meet requirements derived from the Safety process according to ISO26262
* Partner with the Service team to define part replacement strategies and ensure efficient fault recovery.
* Utilize diagnostic services (UDS) on Ethernet, CAN and LIN for fault reporting, diagnostic data communication and diagnostic routines.
* Support Diagnostic System Engineers in authoring diagnostic data using CANdela Studio.
* Develop functional and software diagnostic requirements for model based and hand code software implementation
* Conduct and participate in design reviews to ensure diagnostic integrity across systems.
* Develop test plans and test cases to validate diagnostic performance at both ECU and system integration levels.
Identify, document and aid in root causing and fixing bugs related to diagnostics software and calibration.
* Ensure compliance with AUTOSAR diagnostic standards by collaborating with platform and architecture teams.
* Contribute to building a world-class electric vehicle platform with exceptional engineering precision.
You Bring:
* 5+ years of experience with embedded control systems
* 3+ Experience in automotive diagnostics, fault detection, and fault handling.
* Demonstrated hands-on experience with system level bring-up and calibration of diagnostic functions
