
Die Setter, 2nd shift
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Die Setter for 2nd shift (3:30pm - 12:00 am) to support our automotive stamping operations. This role is responsible for reading and interpreting automation labels and tags, placing automation equipment into designated workstations, and operating overhead cranes to move stamping dies and tooling safely and efficiently. You Will:
- Read and interpret automation labels, tags, and control panel identifiers to ensure correct placement of automation modules and components. automation

- Collaborate with Controls and Automation Engineers to ensure proper integration and alignment of automation systems.
- Perform visual and functional checks to verify correct installation and readiness of automation systems before production.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment placement, crane operations, and die movements.
- Support troubleshooting efforts by identifying misaligned or incorrectly placed automation components.
- Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout, PPE usage, and crane operation standards.
You Bring:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training in automation or industrial equipment preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in automotive stamping or automation setup.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical labels, tags, and layout diagrams.
- Certified or experienced in overhead crane operations, including rigging and die handling.
- Familiarity with stamping dies, automation modules, and workstation layouts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Siemens TIA Portal or Beckhoff automation systems.
- Knowledge of stamping processes including tandem, progressive, and blanking lines.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, sensors, and control logic.
- Familiarity with ergonomic and safety standards for die handling and automation placement.
