Vehicle End of Line (EOL) Manager
We are seeking a results-driven Vehicle End-of-Line (EOL) Manager to lead the development, implementation, and optimization of our EOL testing systems and processes. This role requires strong technical expertise in vehicle diagnostics, software, and EOL systems, as well as proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and launching complex vehicle programs.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing EOL engineering activities across all production phases, ensuring high-quality vehicle delivery, and driving operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the End-of-Line engineering team to develop and maintain vehicle EOL test routines using in-house and third-party authoring tools (e.g., DSA Prodis).
- Own the strategy, planning, and execution of EOL operations for vehicle bring-up, testing, diagnostics, and final vehicle validation during the manufacturing process.
- Develop and standardize robust processes for flashing ECUs, validating electrical systems, and calibrating sensors during end-of-line operations.
- Oversee the deployment and maintenance of EOL test equipment, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure availability, calibration, and automation readiness.
- Drive improvements in First Time Through (FTT) rate, quality KPIs, and production efficiency through data-driven problem-solving and process optimization.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with software integration, diagnostics, manufacturing, and engineering teams to translate component and vehicle-level requirements into scalable, testable EOL solutions.
- Lead root cause investigations for failures and issues during vehicle bring-up and EOL testing, ensuring rapid resolution and long-term corrective actions.
- Champion the integration of new systems into EOL processes, including ADAS, fluid fill systems, wheel alignment equipment etc.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cybersecurity standards related to EOL systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, budgets, and resource planning for EOL equipment, tooling, and software infrastructure.
- Coach and develop a high-performing EOL team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills in a high-pressure production environment.
- Willingness to be hands-on when needed, with a collaborative, supportive, and proactive approach.
- Proficient in failure mode analysis methodologies such as FMEA, fault tree analysis, and issue tracking systems.
- Experience with integration of systems like ADAS, WAM, Fluid Fill, and HV safety into EOL operations.
- Expertise in diagnostic communication protocols and systems (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, UDS, DoIP).
- Hands-on experience with Vector tools (CANalyzer, CANoe) and diagnostic authoring environments (e.g., DSA Prodis).
- Experience of launching EOL systems in a greenfield or brownfield manufacturing environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical/Software/Automotive Engineering or a related field.
- 7+ years of automotive/manufacturing experience.
