
Program Manager, New Hire Orientation
Position Overview: This role will serve as a cross-functional orchestrator, owning onboarding programs that support new hires, hiring managers, and senior leaders across global locations. The Program Manager will ensure a cohesive and inclusive journey from offer acceptance through the first 90 days, with scalable solutions that empower both individuals and teams. The NHO Program manager own the end-to-end onboarding journey; from pre-day-1 through day-90 for both production and corporate hires, ensuring safety, culture assimilation, and rapid productivity.
Key Responsibilities
Training Operations
- Lead a team of training specialists who prepare, support, and develop team members by building their proficiency and versatility through effective training and coaching.
- Knowledge and expertise to coordinate and support L&D tasks, including being a backup instructor.
- Confirm the team’s compliance with and adherence to the Lucid Production System, Company Values, and manufacturing and logistics training procedures.
- Lead a team of experienced training specialists by using leadership skills and proven strategies to deliver best-in-class training.
- Plan, coordinate, document, and track training activities and strategies that are compliant with L&D programs.
- Maintain and improve all training materials, making sure they are accessible, standardized, up to date, and accurate.
- Support KPI compliance for our management team.
- Perform daily confirmation checks and correct or escalate discrepancies as required.
- Monitor team performance, respond to team needs, escalate issues, and create an environment that encourages continuous improvement.
- Coach team members on manufacturing training-related needs and track individual development plans, strengths, and opportunities.
- Engage and recognize team members.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Specialty Duties
- Structure NHO tracks (production/corporate/leadership); embed EV fundamentals, safety, culture/values, compliance, plant tour, and role-specific bridges.
- Plan operations: calendarization, capacity planning, faculty management (SMEs/instructors), kits and logistics.
- Run quality loops: feedback, continuous improvement, content freshness, version control.
- Measure outcomes: time-to-productivity, early attrition, safety incident rate for new hires, onboarding NPS.
- Automate workflows with HRIS/LMS/IT for provisioning and completions.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in HR/Business/ or Engineering
- 6+ years program management in onboarding/L&D; manufacturing exposure preferred.
- Proficiency in e-learning software and platforms.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
- Experience in conducting virtual training sessions.
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills.
- Ability to convey complex information in a simple and engaging manner.
- Proficiency with MS Office and related business and communication tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse groups.
