
ERP Supply Chain Team Lead
Position Overview:
The ERP Supply Chain Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the implementation, configuration, and continuous improvement of the supply chain module within the organization's ERP system. This role leads a team of functional analysts and consultants, ensuring that procurement, inventory, and materials planning processes are optimized and fully aligned with business objectives. The Team Lead acts as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT, driving both operational excellence and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the ERP team focused on supply chain module such as SAP MM (Material Management).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, warehouse, sales, transportation and finance to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
- Oversee system configuration, testing, go-live, and hypercare support for supply chain processes.
- Drive process improvements through automation and enhanced ERP functionalities.
- Monitor system performance and resolve issues related to system workflows.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards through ERP system controls.
- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders.
- Manage documentation of system processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Coordinate with vendors and external consultants when necessary.
- Lead ERP upgrade and integration projects
- Allocate resources, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of projects.
- Maintain clear documentation of system configurations, business processes, and operational procedures.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of SAP Material Management functionalities, including procure to pay complete cycle
- Proficient in configuring SAP MM to meet business requirements, including material types, valuation classes, pricing procedures, account determination, and document types.
- Strong knowledge of integration points with other SAP modules: like SD, FI, EWM, PP and QM
- Experience managing master data including material, vendor, purchasing info records, contract, source lists etc.
- Proven ability to lead SAP MM teams, assign tasks, manage workloads, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Configuration and use of eSPP functions like multi-level service parts planning, Deployment and distribution strategies and Planning heuristics and inventory optimization
- Strong understanding of service parts demand forecasting, distribution, and inventory management
- Skilled in leading SAP MM-related projects, including rollouts, upgrades, and system enhancements.
- Strong analytical thinking for troubleshooting complex system issues and optimizing procurement/inventory processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional coordination.
- Ability to conduct workshops, training sessions, and system demos.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Computer Applications, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands on experience in SAP supply chain specially in MM module
- At least 3 years in a leadership or team lead role overseeing SAP projects
- Proven experience in managing full lifecycle SAP implementations (Planning to go-live and support).
- SAP certification is a must, ideally in material management or sourcing & procurement.
- Prefer certified professional such as TOGAF, PMP or ITIL
