
MANAGER-IN-PLANT LOGISTICS OPERATIONS
The Manager – In-plant Logistics Operations is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end execution of in-plant logistics activities, from truck park area to dock / internal WH /External WH/Market place and manufacturing lineside locations. This position extensively handles warehouse and packaging operations, smooth dock management and ultimately ensures seamless delivery of parts to manufacturing productions without any loss of production target. This leadership role ensures the seamless cost and time effective lean storage and movement of goods with the highest standards of safety service and compliance. · Lead and manage daily logistics operations across transportation, warehousing, and distribution functions. · Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize service levels, reduce costs, and support business growth. · Oversee logistics planning for inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics, ensuring timely and accurate material flow. · Manage 3PL relationships, contracts, and performance metrics; conduct regular reviews and negotiations. · Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, production, planning, and customer service to align logistics activities. · Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, transportation cost per unit, inventory accuracy, and warehouse productivity. · Ensure full compliance with all regulations, safety, and environmental standards related to logistics operations. · Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies. · Implement digital tools and analytics to enhance logistics visibility, planning, and decision-making. · Lead and develop a high-performing logistics team, including managers, analysts, and warehouse/transport supervisors. · Support new product launches, warehouse expansions, and supply chain transformation projects. · Manage, coach and develop a highly performing team that meets agreed objectives, and which delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements · Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports · Monitor and ensure that staff under supervision maintain accurate material schedules to get the right materials on site at the right time · Ensure that the function operates in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors
· Input and hold responsibility for Material Planning budgets

· Deep understanding of logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, inventory management and people management skills. · Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills. · Excellent negotiation, communication, and project management abilities.

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
· Master’s degree or MBA preferred. · 10+ years of progressive experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations. · At least 3+ years in automotive logistics operations. · Experience of managing large teams and complex distribution networks.
