Lucid Motors is looking for a highly motivated Product Line Quality - NPI Project Manager to work in a challenging and fast-paced environment where you will work with a highly motivated team leading New Product Introduction activities for Mid-size and future programs. You will work closely with Project Lifecycle Management, Vehicle Integration, Design Engineering, Logistics, Quality, Manufacturing, and other cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless and smooth integration of new products and changes without impacting the plant production planning and vehicle Quality.

You Will: 

  • Manage a team of NPI project engineers to drive ECRs and Programs from evaluation to execution, this includes but is not limited to engineering changes affecting a part used in the manufacturing process
  • Represents the Product Line Quality Corporate at the manufacturing plant
  • Act as Liaison between the Plant NPI and Product Engineering in headquarters
  • Drive NPI activities in new programs such as: Part readiness, Line readiness ensuring changes affected by new parts, MBOM updates on timely manner
  • Timely escalation for proper correction of critical items that represent a risk to a new program or to current production
  • Participate in Engineering Change Request meetings to understand the scope of changes and determine assessment criteria based on the nature of approved changes
  • Coordinate and ensure effectiveness of ECR for new parts trials, ensure proper documentation and disciplined execution
  • Gain holistic knowledge of the product, production processes, and manufacturing technologies to understand and mitigate risks, as well as to recognize optimization opportunities
  • Work with cross-functional teams to understand the critical actions necessary for successful introduction of new features, capabilities, and products, and ensure those needs will be met ahead of deployment
  • Maintain and communicate project timelines and coordinate NPI and project related plant activities
  • Coordinate and manage all vehicle material cut-over activity
  • Manage the Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) for the Mid-Size program(s)
  • Continuously improve NPI processes and systems to ensure effectivity and proper planning and cost effectiveness

You Bring: 

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering required, Master’s degree in Engineering preferred Industrial/Quality/Production Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in an automotive manufacturing organization (OEM) is a must
  • 4+ years of experience with Greenfield OEM is a strong plus
  • Experience and knowledge of product design is required
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Strong written and verbal skills as well as organizational
  • Presentation and communication skills are a must
  • Ability to coach and train people at different levels of the manufacturing organization
  • Excellent analytical & technical writing abilities and comprehensive understanding of Document Control, problem solving, Procedures development among other organizational processes
  • Project management capabilities are required
  • Working knowledge with AutoCAD is required
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office tools (MS-Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Creative, energetic, self-motivated, and highly organized
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and changing environment and scalable organization
