
Maintenance Team Lead, Electrical Stamping
We are currently seeking a ‘Maintenance Team Lead, Electrical’ who will be a member of the Stamping Maintenance Team and will be responsible for maintaining the equipment in the company’s world class greenfield stamping plant. You will lead a highly qualified team in maintaining and repairing electrical systems on stamping presses and automation equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and mentoring technicians to maximize equipment uptime and production efficiency. Excellent attendance is crucial for teams to achieve success. You must have the ability to work with various teams in a fast-paced stamping environment. They will also be required to work with EHS, operation, engineering, quality, and suppliers in various aspects of the overall process. Strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills are an absolute requirement to establish effective working relationships within Company and outside.
You will:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor the electrical maintenance team to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on stamping presses, robots, laser blanker, automation equipment, and other related machinery.
- Conduct detailed inspections, diagnose electrical system failures, and perform repairs on electrical, electronic, and electro-mechanical systems.
- Rapidly respond to equipment breakdowns, identify root causes of electrical malfunctions, and restore productivity in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance schedules and plans to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with OSHA and other safety standards, promote a strong safety culture, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and team leaders to align maintenance efforts with production goals and ensure efficient workflow.
- Train maintenance technicians and operators on electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and parts inventory.
You Bring:
- High school diploma: additional education or apprenticeship is a plus.
- 7+ years of stamping maintenance experience, preferably with servo tandem line and blanker operations.
- Familiarity with maintenance, setting up, servo press machines, laser blanker and understanding optimal maintenance conditions.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs on complex stamping machinery parks.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control systems, PLCs, and industrial electrical equipment.
- Have strong leadership experience in Stamping maintenance area
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with safety practices and machine maintenance.
- Ability to adapt and troubleshoot in real-time to address production needs.
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop a maintenance team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Computer proficiency for tasks such as data entry and potentially operating manufacturing software.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to mechanical equipment, vibration, and noise.
- Physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
- Eye-hand coordination and strong visual abilities are essential.
