
Global Supply Manager, Transportation Procurement
Lucid Motors is seeking a Global Supply Manager, Indirect Procurement, to lead strategic sourcing and procurement activities across logistics-related categories. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings deep expertise in transportation procurement within a manufacturing or technology-driven organization.
You Will:
- Lead sourcing and procurement for transportation-related categories, including—but not limited to—freight (inbound/outbound), third-party logistics (3PL), warehousing, customs brokerage, and fleet services.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Logistics, Manufacturing, Finance, Legal) to define transportation requirements and develop procurement strategies that optimize cost, service levels, and operational efficiency.
- Drive supplier identification, qualification, and selection processes for logistics partners, including RFIs, RFQs, and contract negotiations.
- Analyze proposals and develop recommendations balancing cost, transit time, reliability, and compliance with international trade regulations.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with transportation and logistics providers to ensure performance, scalability, and alignment with Lucid’s global supply chain goals.
- Oversee purchase order creation, delivery tracking, and issue resolution for transportation services.
- Support operational and administrative tasks related to transportation procurement execution, including invoice reconciliation and KPI tracking.
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, logistics, engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation procurement, logistics sourcing, or strategic sourcing within a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders across all levels of the organization, including operations, finance, and legal.
- Strong interpersonal skills and resilience in managing urgent logistics requests with limited information.
- Solid analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
Preferred Experience:
- Strategic sourcing using Coupa or similar platforms.
- Experience with freight cost modeling, carrier performance management, and logistics contract structures.
- Familiarity with international trade compliance, Incoterms, and customs documentation.
- Exposure to cross-functional project coordination involving transportation or supply chain systems.
