The PFS Engineer is responsible to manage the support operation in designated shop and respective Shift. This will include Sustenance support and troubleshooting activities during ongoing manufacturing operation. The PFS Engineer will provide physical legs and hands support to the manufacturing operation for MES systems related breakdowns and issues. He is level 1 contact person for any support related escalations.
You Will:
- Support Operation:
- MES Systems sustenance and support in respective shift operation and ensure system Uptime.
- MES systems startup and health status monitoring for designated shop.
- Level 1 support to the plant floor team for all kind of issues related to the MES Systems and Hardware.
- Daily engagement with the shop floor stake holders like Production, Maintenance and Quality to generate feedback on the MES systems.
- Preventive Maintenance execution of MES systems along with the vendor support.
- MES systems hot standby spares execution and trials.
- MES systems Backup processing as per scheduled plan.
- New change requests evolution with the end user and UAT with stake holders after deployment.
- Work closely with manufacturing, line integrators and vendors during installation/validation of MES to support validation build vehicle targets.
- Ensure system uptime and backup for all MES (Hardware and Software) in the respective shift.
- Controls systems improvement and programming modifications.
- MES stores inventory, new material requirement generation, Material consumption tracking to avoid last minute breakdown issues.
- Project Implementation:
- MES Systems sustenance and support in respective shop in all shift’s operation.
- Project execution and testing along with the development team in respective shop.
- MES Systems hardware installation coordination with supplier and testing with use cases.
- Proof Of Concepts (POC) carrying along with vendors for the new technologies and hardware which can be used in MES systems.
- User acceptance testing along with end user to record the feedback and improvements points.
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. With 2+ years’ experience in below mentioned work experience and skills.
- BE/MS in Information Technology/Computer Science/Electronics/Instrumentation or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience in manufacturing and launch experience with emphasis on IT Applications and Plant Floor Operations.
- Required ability to understand the technical issue, motivation/ goal of various stakeholders and correlation with business KPI’s.
- Determination, self-motivation, and adaptability towards new technologies are important traits.
- Agility and convincing abilities to maintain conversion between developers and end users.
- Sound technical knowledge of ICS (Industrial Control System), MES, IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things).
- Basic knowledge of computer programming (SQL, OPC, HTML, JAVA, Phyton, C Sharp, Visual Basic)
- Strong experience in PLC programming, HMI/ SCADA screen designing, Kepware configuration server, OT protocols (Modbus, Ethernet, ProfiNet, Serial etc.)
- Hands on experience with all types of sensors, actuators, Torque tools, VFD, Motors, Robots, AGVs.
- Understanding of the Manufacturing environment and business indicators like OEE, Uptime, Throughput time, Quality FTT, Downtime, JPH.
- Understanding of the IT hardware and their integration with MES like Barcode scanner, Printer, HHT, RFID devices.
