We are currently seeking a Sr. Field Quality Engineer, HV Distribution & Charging. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate technical excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly, and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment.
You Will:
- Lead the resolution of complex mechanical and electrical issues in High Voltage components, Charging System and Power Distribution elements
- Lead the cross-functional team (Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, and others) in the Root Cause investigation of field product failures
- Develop Corrective Actions and Validate their effectiveness for high voltage control and power distribution hardware/software, tracking customer satisfaction and warranty cost reduction
- Serve as the High Voltage Distribution Quality technical expert
- Manage warranty part returns (field failures)
- Cultivate relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Service and Quality, to drive issue resolution
- Consolidate inputs and materials from cross-functional teams to create executive reports for Lucid’s leadership, including the C-Suite
- Drive the achievement of Quality Objectives for High Voltage and Charging System: Incident rate and Warranty cost
- Represent the Voice of the Customer (VOC) and provide feedback to Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to drive improvements in product, process, and equipment
- Close the Product Development Loop by providing the Powertrain APQP Team with the lessons learned distilled from the field issue resolution process
- Incorporate market quality experiences into new model designs and specifications.
- Travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 20% of the time)
You Bring:
- Engineering or STEM Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience required
- 5+ years of relevant experience in high voltage components such as harnesses, chargers, on board power distribution units and high voltage controllers
- Outstanding technical problem-solving abilities, grounded in a strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
- Hands-on mentality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive mindset and strong work ethic
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Strong technical understanding of electric powertrain systems, power distribution, high voltage harnesses and controllers
- Systems approach to engineering product development, with demonstrated ability to bring
- together teams from different engineering disciplines
- Demonstrated experience in engineering problem-solving
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to drive decisions using data and metrics
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
- Goal-oriented self-starter and motivator
- Field quality experience
Preferred:
- Relevant experience in electric powertrain systems, power distribution, high voltage
- harnesses and controllers
- Automotive powertrain experience, especially in the development of high voltage distribution powertrain systems
- Experience in two full product development cycles for power distribution systems

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs. (Cash or equity incentive awards, if any, will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and company performance.)
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$140,000 - $192,500 USD
