We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our Accessories team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the development of innovative vehicle accessories, supporting both current and future vehicle programs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Design, Manufacturing, and Quality to bring creative and functional accessory solutions to life.
Your Role
- Support the design and development of interior and exterior vehicle accessories (e.g., roof racks, floor mats, cargo solutions, lighting kits).
- Assist in benchmarking competitor products and analyzing trends in the automotive accessories market.
- Create and update CAD models, drawings, and documentation under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Participate in prototype builds, testing, and validation activities.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of components and data.
- Contribute to cost, weight, and sustainability optimization efforts.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of CAD tools (e.g., CATIA, NX, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for automotive design and user-focused innovation.
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous internship or project experience in automotive or consumer product development.
- Familiarity with vehicle packaging, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Interest in personalization and lifestyle trends in the automotive space.
