
Manager, Supplier Industrialization HV PCBA
The Supplier Quality Manager (PCBAs & SMT) will lead strategic quality initiatives across suppliers specializing in printed circuit board assemblies and surface mount technology. This role is critical to ensuring supplier readiness, process capability, and compliance with automotive electronics standards to support high-volume production and new product launches. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise, leadership in supplier development, and a strong command of quality systems and manufacturing processes.
You Will:
Supplier Development & Strategy
- Own the supplier quality roadmap for PCBAs and SMT, driving alignment with IPC, IATF 16949, and automotive electronics standards.
- Lead APQP/PPAP execution for new electronic components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure DFM/DFT/DFA and manufacturability are embedded early in design.
Process & Technical Oversight
- Oversee audits and qualifications of SMT processes including stencil printing, solder paste inspection, pick & place, reflow, wave/selective soldering, AOI, X-ray, ICT, and functional testing.
- Ensure suppliers maintain robust PFMEA, Control Plans, and Poka-Yoke systems.
- Evaluate supplier process flows, ESD controls, rework practices, and material handling.
Quality & Reliability Leadership
- Drive implementation of reliability and environmental testing (HALT, HASS, thermal cycling, vibration, humidity).
- Monitor supplier KPIs (PPM, OTD, escapes) and lead structured problem-solving (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
- Champion continuous improvement and corrective action programs across supplier base.
You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, SMT processes, or supplier quality management.
- Proven leadership in managing supplier quality for PCBAs and SMT in automotive or high-reliability industries.
- Expertise in IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, IATF 16949, and PPAP/APQP methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and hands-on experience with SMT equipment, defect analysis, and process validation.
Please note this role is 100% onsite in our Newark, CA headquarters and does not offer a remote or hybrid option.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$137,900 - $202,180 USD
