
Lead Material Handler (2nd Shift)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a Lead Material Handler. The role of this Team Lead will be to ensure company environmental standards of health and safety are maintained. Assign duties and report upon the work of varying numbers of Operators working in a warehouse environment. To provide effective leadership, communication, motivation and training/development. Ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to and manage performance through an agreed set of Key Performance Indicators. Ensure team members are trained in warehouse processes and that required process conditions are met, and standardized work instructions are understood and followed. They will be required to carry out any further tasks as deemed necessary by shift Supervision.
Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 6:00p- 4:30a
*Ability and Willingness to Potentially Work Overtime on Saturdays*
Location: Coolidge, Arizona
You Will:
- Ensure safety of all employees, visitors, customers, and contractors in the facility
- Perform pre-shift and end-of-shift checks and escalate discrepancies as needed
- Confirm PPE availability and compliance
- Create daily job rotation schedules
- Coordinate on-the-job training to increase team skillsets and versatility; track all trainings and certifications
- Learn all operations within the team
- Ensure training is provided by certified trainers using proper methodologies
- Plan classroom trainings required for process performance
- Conduct Lucid Production System audits covering Manual Handling, Driving Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Monitor key performance indicators and communicate focus areas for the team
You Bring:
- Material Handling Equipment (MHE) certification
- First Aid/Fire Marshall qualification (desirable)
- Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings and weekends as needed
- Leadership experience
Essential Physical Requirements
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment
- Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery; requires fine motor skills and grip strength
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10–50 lbs regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance
- Reaching and Bending: Routine reaching above shoulders, bending, twisting at the waist, and squatting as part of tasks
- Repetitive Motions: Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movements for tasks such as fastening, positioning, and installing
- Climbing: Occasional use of steps to access different height-level areas
- PPE Expectations: Must wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, protective sleeves, eye and hearing protection) as per company safety standards
