
Intern, Quality - Summer 2026
As an Intern, Vehicle Quality, you must possess a strong understanding of Quality principles and data analytics skills. - Advanced Product Quality
- Powertrain Quality
Role/Responsibilities:
- Develop inspection checklists for prototype builds based on Quality issues, DFMEA and ECRs.
- Document and correlate Control Plan data with 0MIS, PDI and LCPA findings
- Assist senior engineers in facilitating Process FMEAs with cross-functional teams
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure safe launch of New Programs
- Communicate regularly with senior engineers and other team members to provide progress updates and receive feedback
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to team projects as needed

Preferred Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of CATIA 3DX
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Basic knowledge of FMEA, Control Plans and MSA is a plus
- solutions in a time sensitive environment
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge - Experience with Electrical / Electronic components or systems such as Wiring Systems, Lighting, Connectors, Displays, Sensors, Radars, etc. is recommended.
- Previous School Projects contribution in the design, specification and implementation of Engineering Issues Resolution.
- Outstanding technical problem-solving abilities based on a strong grasp of engineering fundamentals.
- Participation and leadership in Formula SAE Electric, Baja SAE, Solar Car or other extracurricular automotive teams is a major plus!
Education:
- Field(s) of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related fields
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university
- Proof of enrollment in current or into next program (MS)
Program Information:
- Timing: May- August, or June-September pending class schedules.
- Duration of Internship: Our internship program is 12 weeks; the end date is flexible based on individual needs.
- Work Location & Environment: This position will be in either Newark, CA or Casa Grande, AZ, and is fully in-person. You must be prepared to start onsite for your first day of employment. The working environment will be a mix of lab & office work.
- Compensation: Student compensation is based on location and current degree level, non-negotiable ranging from $34 to $46 (subject to changes).
- Relocation: May be provided on a case to case basis.
- Housing/Transportation: You must provide your own living arrangements and transportation in the local area.
- Background Check: All offers of employment are contingent on clearing a background check.
- Drug Screening: All offers of employment are contingent on passing a drug screen.
