
Purchasing Coordinator
Job Summary
Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for the procurement of spare parts for the Maintenance Department, ensuring that parts are available within short lead times and at the most competitive pricing. The Purchasing Coordinator position maintains accurate records of all purchases and deliveries, monitors stock levels and replenishes inventory.
Job Duties
· Responsible for controlling and maintaining spare parts levels as determined by usage in Inventory Management Systems (CMMS)
· Responsible for purchasing of spare parts
· Responsible for Receiving and stocking of spare parts for the Maintenance Department
· Identify and recommend best pricing, service, delivery and quality for spare parts
· Kitting of parts for work orders that are scheduled by Maintenance Supervisors
· Act as Liaison with Purchasing and Accounts Payable Departments to resolve all invoice/payment issues on the Indirect Purchasing side.
· Lead development/recommendation for minimum/maximum levels of on-hand spare parts. Adjust the levels as necessary to support the operations considering availability, sourcing, logistics and costs.
· CMMS Administrator for spare parts. Assist in training on CMMS (parts search & work orders, etc.), ensure parts information accuracy. Collaborate and share best practices with the Maintenance Department.
· Maintain accurate records and reports as required, including inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
· Collaboratively work with a wide cross-functional team (Maintenance, Production, Purchasing, NPI, Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Logistics, etc.)
· Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
· High School Diploma or equivalent
· Minimum of 2 years of inventory control experience, preferably in production manufacturing.
· Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office.
· Demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
· Multitasking skills are essential
· Flexibility with assigned schedule (to include overtime, weekends, day/night and holidays.
· Must have command of and the ability to follow instructions in English, both written and verbal
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to walk, sit, bend, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach frequently.
· Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50+ pounds.
