
Manager, Employee Relations
The Manager, Employee Relations for Saudi Arabia will lead complex employee relations matters across the region, ensuring thorough workplace investigations are completed in compliance with Saudi Labor Law and related regulations. This role reports into the Head of Employee Relations (US) and global ER teams to maintain consistent standards while respecting local legal and cultural requirements. The ERBP will act as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and business leaders, driving fair, transparent, and defensible solutions aligned with Lucid’s values and Saudi employment regulations.
You Will:
- Conduct impartial workplace investigations into potential policy violations, ensuring compliance with Saudi Labor Law and company standards.
- Advise HRBPs and managers on ER matters, including disciplinary actions, performance management, terminations, accommodations, and complex leave scenarios under local law.
- Present investigation findings and recommend outcomes that are fair, legally compliant, and culturally appropriate.
- Review and counsel on employee separations, ensuring adherence to Saudi termination procedures and end-of-service benefit requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, including Saudization (Nitaqat) and data privacy laws (PDPL).
- Partner with global ER and HR teams to harmonize policies while adapting to Saudi-specific requirements.
- Monitor trends and emerging issues in the region; develop proactive strategies and training to address workplace concerns.
- Consult on accommodation requests, including medical and religious considerations, in line with Saudi law and cultural norms.
You Bring:
- 8+ years in HR or ER roles, with 4+ years in workplace investigations or employee relations.
- Deep knowledge of Saudi Labor Law, including employment contracts, working hours, termination, Saudization quotas, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with global ER practices and ability to navigate cross-border collaboration.
- Proven experience coaching leaders through ER issues and implementing compliant solutions.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and change management skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive matters with discretion and cultural awareness.
- Preference for candidate with experience in manufacturing and corporate environments
Key Compliance Areas for Saudi Arabia:
- Written employment contracts in Arabic (mandatory).
- Maximum working hours: 8 per day / 48 per week; reduced during Ramadan.
- End-of-service benefits and lawful termination procedures.
- Saudization (Nitaqat) program compliance.
- Wage Protection System (electronic salary payments).
- Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) for investigations and employee data handling.
