
Operational Excellence Coach
Lucid Motors is seeking an Operational Excellence Specialist to join our team and drive continuous improvement across production operations. This role is critical in supporting the execution of the Lucid Production System (LPS) lean programs, ensuring efficiency and adherence to best practices on the shop floor.
As an Operational Excellence Specialist, you will take a hands-on approach to implement lean methodologies and foster operational excellence. You will execute the MRB/NCM program in alignment with established procedures and work instructions (WI). Key responsibilities include material pick-up and disposition, SAP tag completion, and compliance with standards outlined in linked procedures and WI.

Execute lean program tools and support LPS initiatives.

Assist Lean Coach and Associate Lean Coach with assignments.

Conduct LPS audits, periodic job observations, and investigate findings.

Perform and support departmental Gemba walks.

Collaborate with Operational Excellence team to implement continuous improvement solutions.

Actively participate in training processes, including self-training.

Serve as a role model for all LPS and safety standards.

Support production teams on the shop floor to ensure adherence to LPS principles.

Participate in problem-solving projects (Kaizen) and cross-functional efforts.

Execute NCM management activities per procedure, including MRB walks/huddles.

Manage SAP quality notifications and material disposal.

Maintain storage bin accuracy at 90% or above.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in team environments.
- Skilled at building and maintaining relationships across all organizational levels.
- Flexible and able to shift priorities based on business needs.
Scope
- Reports to Operational Excellence Lean Coach or Associate Lean Coach.
- Assigned to a single shop to foster strong engagement with production and support teams.
- Responsible for physical and systematic non-conforming material management per standards and procedures
