
Sr. Stamping Die Engineer
The Global Stamping Die Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing stamping dies and related processes to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality production. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to support new product development, troubleshoot existing processes, and drive continuous improvement in tooling performance.
You will
- Create precise 3D models and detailed drawings for stamping dies using CAD software.
- Develop schedules for tooling and implement improvements to enhance performance, longevity, and reliability.
- Analyze and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and equipment layouts for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate product designs for technical and economic feasibility within stamping processes, providing guidance to product design teams.
- Diagnose and resolve issues with existing dies and stamping processes to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Inspect and test tools, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with Quality Engineers to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Work closely with product designers, manufacturing engineers, and production staff to ensure designs are feasible and production runs smoothly.
- Support new product development by providing die design, process development, and documentation for successful mass production.
You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in CAD software and stamping process design.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in tooling, manufacturing processes, and quality standards.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
