
Operations Manager, GA - 2nd shift
We are seeking a key contributor to join our team as a full time Operations Manager, General Assembly in our Casa Grande, AZ plant for our 2nd shift. The role will lead our General Assembly manufacturing team in achieving its Safety, People, Environment, Quality, Delivery, and Cost KPI’s. The Operations Manager will report to the Sr. General Assembly Manager and is responsible for production flow and inventory management. The Operations Manager will oversee supervisors and coordinate cross functional activities within Lucid.
You Will:
Oversee GA Production Operations:
Manage the daily operations within the AMP-1 ensuring efficient workflow, minimize repairs, and maintaining adherence to quality standards.
Team Management:
Lead a team of supervisors, ensuring they have support and equipped to perform effectively and efficiently.
Process Improvement:
Calibrate with Manufacturing and Industrial Engineers to develop standardized processes to ensure employees receive current, relevant training. Continuously assess and improve operational processes by implementing best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control measures to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Resource Planning:
Ensure availability of necessary resources, such as equipment, tools, spare parts, and labor, to maintain smooth operations.
Quality Assurance:
Uphold high-quality standards by conducting regular inspections, enforcing quality control measures, and addressing issues promptly.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels of repair parts and supplies to ensure adequate availability while minimizing excess and controlling costs.
Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare daily activity reports covering Safety, Quality, Delivery, and resource utilization. Maintain accurate training and development documentation.
Recruiting:
Develop and conduct onboarding sessions for new salary and hourly technicians.
Other Duties:
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
You Bring:
- High school diploma (required); degree preferred
- Minimum 5 years of automotive manufacturing experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility in operations, production, or assembly environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of 10+ employees, including coaching, conflict resolution, and performance development.
- Demonstrated aptitude for maintenance and engineering, with the ability to quickly learn, understand, and apply technical concepts beyond task-level execution.
- Track record of effective cross-functional communication, shown through successful collaboration with management, engineering, quality, and other operational teams across multiple locations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines with strong follow-through and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook (intermediate level or higher).
- Proficient use of smart devices (smartphone, tablet, laptop) for operational tasks, reporting, and communication.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing.
