
Material Planning Manager
We are currently seeking a Manager, to lead the Material Planning team. The Manager is based at Lucid’s manufacturing facility in Casa Grande, AZ OR Phoenix AZ and is primarily responsible for ensuring all parts & materials required to support the serial production requirements of Lucid are available in-full and on-time.
You Will:
- Lead a team Material Planners in operating the MRP system and communicating Lucid’s production build requirements to a global network of over 200 Tier 1 suppliers and over 3,000 parts & components
- Manage the supplier base closely by resolving issues to ensure On-Time, In-Full (OTIF) performance is achieved
- Work collaboratively and closely with a wide cross-functional team – Purchasing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality
- Using data – create clear & accurate communications to executive management and the broader business
- Develop and implement improvement projects that deliver benefits to the organization. For example – increasing OTIF, reducing inventory levels, reducing lead times, etc.
- Develop and implement metrics for supplier delivery performance
- Work closely with Purchasing Global Supply Managers to develop action plans to improve supplier performance and feedback into future purchasing strategies
- Establish & continually develop a strong team that strives for excellence
You Bring:
- High School Diploma/GED
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Engineering but not required
- 10+ years of Material Planning in an automotive or volume manufacturing environment.
- 5 years of management/ people leadership experience
- A deep understanding and knowledge of MRP processes
- Understanding in automotive manufacturing processes and an understanding of the PPAP process
- Product launch experience
- Understanding of quality principles, product development processes, and data analysis. Able to show teamwork to resolve problems and a thought process to drive successful solutions
- Excellent analytical, and problem solving skills.
- Passion for results, strategy, and hands on execution.
- Creative, calculated risk taker with the ability to manage difficult suppliers and resolve disputes while preserving relationships with suppliers and internal staff
- Microsoft Project, Smartsheets, or equivalent program management software
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Highly proficient in Excel, Project, Power Point, Word, SAP
- Ability to mitigate unforeseen problems creatively and effectively
