
EHS Specialist
The EHS Specialist supports day-to-day operations by providing EHS expertise to internal customers. Our ideal candidate will find responsibility in the design, implementation, and execution of complex subject matter across a wide range of EH&S disciplines. This role will be critical in supporting day-to-day operations by guiding a number of EH&S programs, including developing technical training, driving the EH&S management system framework, and continuously improving the ways for which we monitor and measure EH&S performance.
This is a 100% On-Site role in Newark, CA.
You Will:
- Support EH&S operations in a fast-paced, cross-functional and highly collaborative environment, serving groups that perform activities including R&D, manufacturing, and logistics.
- Develop and maintain strong communication between all organizations within site operations.
- Provide subject-matter expertise related to, and support the implementation of, EHS programs such as LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Electrical Safety, Respiratory Protection, etc.
- Conduct Job Hazard Analyses and risk assessments.
- Perform safety observations and audits.
- Lead incident analysis activities to determine RCCA identification
- Design safe workspaces and create, implement, and measure policies that minimize job-related hazards.
- Ensure compliance with Local, State and Federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Develop and conduct education and training as required
- Design and conduct workplace inspection practices and drive the corrective and preventative action management process providing key performance indicator
You Bring:
- 3-5 years in an Environmental Health & Safety related field. Experience in the electric vehicle or energy storage industries, or in a research & development environment is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Safety, Ergonomics, Environmental Health, Industrial Hygiene, or Safety-related discipline or equivalent work experience.
- Certifications – ASP/CSP certification preferred.
- Knowledge of Local, State and Federal regulatory agencies and requirements.
- Practical, hands-on experience with LOTO, Hazard Communication, Emergency Response, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, Ergonomics, etc.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing priorities in a rapid growth environment.
- Able to influence and communicate effectively with leaders, technicians, engineers, contractors and supporting staff.
- Well-organized and highly detail-oriented.

Base Pay Range (Annual)
$91,400 - $125,730 USD
Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
