
Manager, Sales Analytics and Systems
The Manager of Sales Analytics and Systems will own the implementation and on-going support of the Sales CRM System Reporting and Business Intelligence tools that will optimize sales efficiency and assist sales in delivering a great customer experience. This person will own insights, reporting, data generation analytics, and data management for the Lucid Sales organization as we scale rapidly. In this role you will lead a team focused on using data to accelerate the performance and efficiency of our sales efforts. You will work closely with sales leadership to understand the sales processes to measure the organization’s performance and provide actionable insights and decision support. The ideal candidate possesses a blend of technical, creative, and business skills, and has a passion for using data to guide decision-making.
The Role
- Build & lead a team of Business and Data Analysts to deliver reliable data, metrics, and insightful sales reporting for Lucid’s Sales organizations.
- Manage the creation, distribution, and adoption of KPIs (key performance indicators) and metrics for the sales organization.
- Create analytics tools and self-service decision support products for use within the team and by non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead cross-functional projects using advanced data science, modeling, and analysis techniques to discover insights that will guide strategic decisions and uncover optimization opportunities.
- Manage and optimize processes for data intake, data engineering, modeling, mining, analysis, visualization, and communication of deliverables.
- Develop and apply mathematical or statistical theory and methods to collect, organize, and analyze data. Build and optimize data pipeline, materialized views, etc. and work closely with data engineering and Tableau admins
- Distill analytical findings into digestible stories for stakeholders using visualizations and slide decks.
- Foster a team culture that nurtures intellectual curiosity and exploratory analysis to consistently deliver insights for business leaders.
- Create the team roadmap, drive alignment, and manage the prioritization of projects and resources within the team and with business stakeholders.
- Develop and implement quality controls and departmental standards to ensure data quality standards, organizational expectations, and regulatory requirements.
- Advocate for disciplined data-driven thinking throughout the sales organization.
- Establish strong cross-functional partnerships with teams including Sales, Marketing, Service, Finance, and Data Engineering.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Data Science, Business Analytics, Sales Operations, Business Intelligence, or similar role with 2+ years of experience managing a team.
- BS/MS degree in a quantitative discipline: Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, or a quantitative business field.
- Understanding of the Salesforce platform and how it can be used to facilitate the customer lifecycle and generate data throughout the customer journey.
- Expert knowledge building and managing reports and dashboards in Salesforce.
- Advanced ability to query and manipulate raw datasets for analysis using SQL.
- Experience with predictive analytics and statistical modeling.
- Working knowledge of data mining principles: descriptive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems either on-premises or in cloud-based data sources.
- Advanced data visualization skills and experience creating intuitive and elegant dashboards and reports using BI (Business Intelligence) visualization tools. Advanced Tableau proficiency required.
- Experience in data analytics languages (Python / R).
- Expertise building narratives and slide decks to summarize and communicate findings.
- Experience navigating and executing in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment while still maintaining exacting standards.
- Experienced with agile methodologies using project planning and tracking management tools e.g., JIRA.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with audiences at all technical and organizational levels.
Base Pay Range (Annual)
$136,900 - $180,000 USD

The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
