  • Ensure correct labeling, batch identification, and full traceability of paint materials and mixes.
  • Operate, clean, and perform basic maintenance on Mix Room equipment such as mixers, agitators, pumps, filters, and dosing systems.
  • Supply paint materials to automated and manual spray booths on time to prevent line stoppages.
  • Monitor paint inventory levels, support FIFO practices, and coordinate with logistics for timely material replenishment.
  • Identify, segregate, and report expired, contaminated, or non-conforming paint materials.
  • Comply with all automotive EHS requirements related to flammable materials, hazardous chemicals, explosion prevention, ventilation, and waste management.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping (5S) within the Mix Room and associated storage areas.
  • Support quality audits, OEM assessments, and internal process reviews.
  • Work closely with Paint Engineers, Quality, and Production teams to troubleshoot color deviations, surface defects, or material-related issues.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to paint material utilization, cost reduction, and waste minimization.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Technical Certification in Paint Technology, Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial discipline.
  • 2-4 years of experience in an automotive paint shop mix room or equivalent automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with automated or semi-automated automotive paint systems is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills for formulation systems, inventory tracking, and documentation.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Physically fit and capable of working in controlled environments while wearing required PPE.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of automotive paint systems (primer, basecoat, clearcoat).
  • Understanding of solvent-based and water-based automotive paints.
  • Ability to read and follow paint formulations, batch sheets, and technical data sheets.
  • Practical experience with paint mixing, dosing, filtering, and agitation systems.
  • Knowledge of paint quality characteristics such as color shade, metallic orientation, viscosity, gloss, and contamination control.
  • Familiarity with OEM automotive paint standards and defect prevention is an advantage.
  • Understanding of chemical safety, fire and explosion prevention, and hazardous material handling.
