About the Team
The AZ HR team serves as a strategic partner across Lucid’s Arizona operations, encompassing AMP-1 (Advanced Manufacturing Plant) in Casa Grande, the manufacturing facilities in Coolidge, the Logistics Operations Center (LOC) in Tempe, and the Regional Hub in Phoenix. We work closely with leaders at every site to deliver integrated people strategies that drive safety, quality, and operational excellence. Our focus spans workforce planning, talent development, employee engagement, and proactive employee relations, ensuring a consistent and positive employee experience across all locations in the region to enable high-performing teams in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
About the Role
The Senior HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor to senior operational leadership across Lucid’s Arizona region, partnering on workforce strategy and organizational capability to enable high-performing teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This role leads complex employee relations matters, drives key change initiatives, and partners on workforce planning and organization design for multiple sites, including AMP-1 (Advanced Manufacturing Plant), Coolidge, the Logistics Operations Center (LOC) in Tempe, and the Phoenix Hub. The Senior HRBP provides elevated HR expertise and thought leadership while mentoring HR team members and collaborating with HR Centers of Excellence to ensure consistent, scalable, and business-aligned people practices.
What You Own
• Serve as a strategic HR advisor to senior plant leadership on organizational capability, workforce planning, and talent strategies
• Lead complex employee relations cases and guide sensitive investigations requiring advanced judgment and discretion
• Drive organization design initiatives, change management programs, and process improvement efforts across multiple sites
• Mentor and provide guidance to HRBPs and HR team members to develop capability and ensure HR excellence
• Partner with Centers of Excellence to influence enterprise-wide programs such as talent development, compensation, and engagement
• Represent HR in key leadership meetings and participate in strategic planning discussions affecting the Arizona region
• Analyze and synthesize workforce data, compliance trends, and organizational health metrics to inform decisions and policy recommendations
What You Bring
Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant HRBP experience in complex or high-volume operations
• Strong expertise in employee relations, leadership coaching, and organizational effectiveness across multi-site or matrixed environments
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders, drive large-scale change initiatives, and advise on strategic workforce matters
• Advanced knowledge of HR laws, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or other high-growth, complex operations preferred
-- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform the essential duties of the position, including understanding work instructions, safety procedures, and job-related communications.
Preferred
• SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification
• Experience mentoring HR professionals and leading cross-functional HR projects
• Master’s degree a plus
Physical Requirements
- Standing and Walking: Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift on hard surfaces in a production environment.
- Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands for handling tools, assembling components, and operating machinery. Requires fine motor skills and grip strength.
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing 10–50 lbs. regularly; occasional lifting up to 75 lbs. with assistance.
- Reaching and Bending: Routine reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting waist, and squatting as part of process and tasks.
- Repetitive Motions: Continuous arm, hand, and wrist movements for tasks such as fastening, positioning, and installing.
- Climbing: Occasional use of steps to access different height level areas.
- PPE Expectations: Must wear required PPE (safety shoes, gloves, protective sleeves, eye and hearing protection) as per company safety standards.
Work Requirement
This role is fully onsite at AMP-1 in Casa Grande, AZ, with periodic travel required to other Lucid Arizona sites including Coolidge, Tempe, and Phoenix.
