The mission of the Lucid Technical Program Management team is to work across the organization to implement Lucid’s strategy with greater velocity and more predictable outcomes for our customers. Our Technical Program Management (TPM) team is chartered with driving our most challenging cross-functional initiatives. Our TPMs partner directly with product and engineering functions to align and mobilize teams to deliver high-impact business outcomes.  We are looking for an experienced leader to coach, mentor, to grow our TPMs, while also shaping the vision and strategy of the TPM function. This role will create operational excellence by transforming the way Lucid manages the execution of strategic product releases. The Technical Program Management role is still in a formation stage. You will create an environment of teamwork, trust, and mutual success. For this role, you will demonstrate innovative thinking, lean on collaborative problem-solving skills, and exercise a passion for working in a highly cross-functional environment. You will be working with world-class engineering teams to build solutions while breaking down technical barriers and strengthening existing systems. You must possess a strong technical program management track record, demonstrated experience launching critical products and services, and a well-rounded technical background to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • As a senior member of the PMO, you may be driving some of the most complex, cross-divisional projects/initiatives. This could include managing complex dependencies and projects with a broad scope across the company.
  • Navigate diverse stakeholder groups while forming and sustaining trusted relationships
  • Partner with product and engineering teams to drive alignment, prioritization, and critical decision-making with internal partners and stakeholders
  • Develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness of programs and establish frameworks using program management principles that foster high-quality, metrics-driven program delivery
  • Evaluate, implement, and enhance project management best practices and governance operating models to strengthen program teams, tools, and communication channels
  • Manage all aspects of programs, including defining and prioritization, mobilizing cross-functional teams, project execution tracking of milestones and schedules, resource planning and management, risks/issues remediation, and providing program management expertise to deliver impactful business and customer outcomes
  • Maintain a sense of ownership for your products, programs, and customer scenarios
  • Proactively identify any inhibitors, issues or opportunities, and address them
  • Lead the organization to streamline processes, simplify and accelerate execution, manage objectives and key results, release on time, and bring tooling efficiencies
  • Drive adoption/usage of your system, process and templates across the organization
  • Enable professional and career growth of your team members by mentoring and training your peers

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 3-5+ years managing a technical program office
  • Experience building a best in class TPM organization by hiring top talent and building processes, systems and acquiring tools that produce tremendous results
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Driving projects spanning multiple teams, including negotiating and reaching agreement with your partners and stakeholders, shepherding the project while identifying and mitigating risks, and making trade-off decisions to optimize the outcome
  • Experience with global-scale distributed cloud technology and solutions
  • Exemplify the Lucid culture by understanding, advocating, and demonstrating its values

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Self-starter who enjoys quickly bringing organization and direction
  • Relevant certifications in program management and technology are advantageous
