Associate Customer Trainer, EMEA

Amsterdam, NL

We hold true to our core values: innovation in everything we do, passion & excellence in every area, individual empowerment, initiative and ownership, and teamwork over ego. At Lucid, we value diverse perspectives and are dedicated to creating an environment and culture that is respectful and inclusive for everyone. Lucid is a hybrid workplace. We promote a healthy work-life balance by allowing employees to work remotely, from one of our offices, or a combination of the two depending on the needs of the role and team.

Since the company’s founding, Lucid Software has received numerous global and regional recognitions for its products, business, and workplace culture. These include being listed to the Forbes Cloud 100, Fast Company Most Innovative Companies, Fortune Best Workplaces in Technology, and PEOPLE’s Companies that Care. Lucid’s solutions are used by more than 100 million users across the globe, making Lucid the most used visual collaboration platform by the Fortune 500. Our customers include Google, GE, and NBC Universal, and we partner with leaders such as Google, Atlassian, and Microsoft.

As an Associate Customer Trainer on Lucid’s Learning Services team, you will be the primary face of Lucid training for our EMEA user base. You will empower our users to accelerate their work by delivering and developing creative and technical training.

This is not a typical "entry-level" role where you stay in the background. We are looking for a builder. As the sole Trainer in the region, you will not only focus on virtual webinar delivery but you’ll have the unique opportunity to travel to marketing events, represent Lucid at conferences, and occasionally deliver onsite training to our European customers. You will learn to train users across the entire Lucid Visual Collaboration Suite, helping teams collaborate more effectively by thinking and working visually.

Who You Are:

  • An Attention-Grabbing Presenter: You don't just present; you perform. You have infectious energy that keeps audiences engaged, whether you are standing at a conference booth or hosting a webinar for 500 people.
  • A Self-Starter with Grit: You thrive in an environment where you don’t have a manager looking over your shoulder. With your direct leadership overseas, you are comfortable navigating your day-to-day with autonomy, maintaining your own momentum, and proactively solving problems before they escalate.
  • Exceedingly Hungry & Driven: You are motivated to go above and beyond. You view "ambiguity" as an opportunity to take ownership, and you are eager to jump into technical challenges that others might shy away from.
  • A Fearless Learner: You may not be a technical expert yet, but you are not afraid to try. You have adaptability to learn complex products quickly and the confidence to teach them to technical audiences (like engineers and architects).
  • Customer Obsessed: You strive to ensure a positive initial customer experience, maintaining professionalism and responsiveness during every interaction.

Responsibilities:

Your workload will fluctuate based on the demands of the EMEA market. You must be comfortable shifting gears between heavy delivery weeks and quiet weeks focused on internal projects.

~50-80% Training Delivery & Travel:

  • Become the Product Expert: Quickly learn Lucid products, training processes, & curricula to progressively increase your training load.
  • Live Instruction: Deliver engaging webinars and workshops, adapting your energy and content to different audiences.
  • Regional Ambassador (Travel): You will be called upon to travel—sometimes frequently—to staff marketing booths, speak at industry conferences, and deliver onsite training to key customers across the region.
  • Global & Flexible Delivery: While the majority of your training will occur during standard local business hours (8am–6pm), you must be willing to accommodate global customer needs. This includes the occasional early morning (e.g., 5am) or late evening (e.g., 8pm) session to support other regions.

~30% Projects & Content Maintenance:

  • Utilization Balance: When not delivering training, you will proactively support the global team by maintaining training decks , testing new curriculum , and assisting with the public webinar program.
  • Feedback Loops: Collect feedback via surveys and chat to refine your delivery and share insights with the broader team.

~20% Operational Rigor & Collaboration:

  • Global Collaboration: You will work closely with a US-based team. This will require a slightly adjusted schedule on a regular basis to ensure overlap for team meetings and collaborative projects.
  • Session Management: Efficiently schedule, confirm, and set up your own training sessions.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain accurate and timely updates to operational systems (Salesforce/LMS) to ensure visibility into your workload and training activities.

Requirements:

  • 0-1 Years Experience: We are looking for potential. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with exceptional presentation skills, a teacher pivoting to tech, or a junior trainer looking for a bigger stage.
  • Demonstrated Presentation Skills: You must be able to demonstrate clear, cogent, and captivating presentation abilities.
  • Technical Aptitude: You do not need to be a coder, but you must be comfortable learning SaaS tools. You will be training on technical diagrams (UML, ERD, Cloud Architecture), so a willingness to learn technical concepts is non-negotiable.
  • Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple training requests and adapt to shifting job requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with visual collaboration platforms (Lucid, Visio, Miro).
  • Background in theater, public speaking, or education.
  • Language Proficiency: Fluency in Portuguese, French, German, or Spanish is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Cloud concepts.

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
