The Role

As Director of Sales (Central), you’ll own and lead Lucky Energy’s growth strategy across our Central U.S. territory. You’ll manage, coach, and inspire a team of district and field sales managers while working closely with our DSD partners, key retailers, and headquarters team. Your mission: drive distribution, retail execution, and volume to make Lucky Energy a household name in your region.


What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing sales team across the Central region.

  • Set clear sales targets, KPIs, and accountability frameworks for District Sales Managers (DSMs) and Field Sales Managers (FSMs).

  • Identify talent needs, hire new team members, and support ongoing training and development.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, and winning in the field.

Market Expansion & Sales Growth

  • Build and execute regional business plans aligned with national priorities and market dynamics.

  • Partner with distributors to expand coverage, drive depletions, and open new retail accounts.

  • Cultivate relationships with key regional chain buyers and large independent operators to gain placements, promotions, and feature activity.

  • Monitor competitive activity and adjust strategies to win share.

Retail & Distributor Execution

  • Ensure consistent retail execution through your team: proper facings, cooler placements, endcaps, and secondary displays.

  • Guide and support distributor teams to prioritize Lucky Energy and meet monthly and quarterly goals.

  • Lead market blitzes, sampling programs, and local events to boost visibility and sell-through.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing to plan and activate local campaigns, sponsorships, and events.

  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain to forecast demand and ensure product availability.

  • Provide feedback and market intelligence to headquarters to inform strategy and innovation.

Data & Reporting

  • Track and report on sales performance, team productivity, and retail execution metrics.

  • Analyze syndicated and internal data to identify growth opportunities and optimize resources.

  • Present regular business updates to executive leadership with actionable insights and recommendations.


Who You Are

✅ Proven sales leader with 7+ years of experience in beverage, CPG, or DSD sales (energy drink or better-for-you beverage experience a plus).
✅ Skilled at coaching and developing field sales teams to exceed targets.
✅ Strong communicator, negotiator, and relationship-builder.
✅ Highly organized, analytical, and data-driven.
✅ Thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
✅ Willing to travel regularly across the Central U.S. to support your team and customers.
