Microsoft D365 CE Practice Director

The Role 

Ludia Consulting is actively seeking a Practice Director for our Microsoft D365 CE team. This is a client-facing role focused on Client Relationships and Customer Satisfaction, Operational Excellence and Ludia Resource Management to capture revenue effectivelyThe Director of Consulting (Services) has responsibility to ensure their team is meeting financial/utilization metrics, delivery goals and organizational targets while building the strong team necessary to scale and grow. 

You will run the day-to-day operations of the D365 CE consulting practice, including but not limited to resource management, sales enablement, managed services tracking, customer relationships, and overseeing engagements managed by our team. This role will report directly to the Ludia Leadership with outstanding growth potential.  

Essential Functions  

  • Strong ability to manage customer relationships and customer delivery strategies, including being a trusted advisor. 
  • Strong leadership skills and a deep desire to train, grow and support a consulting team.  
  • Manage and solve various complex customer delivery and customer challenges. 
  • Manage D365 CE client deliverables and maintain project KPIs according to Ludia standards. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Participating in sales pursuits and leading discovery, system configuration, proposals, and client presentations. 
  • Overseeing and meeting regularly on the projects of your Project Managers (PMs), to ensure PMs have the resources and tools they need to complete their projects.  
  • Helping PMs resolve issues so that their projects can be successful, and clients are satisfied and evangelists of Ludia.  
  • Ownership of a dashboard/report to report utilization, burn-rate and profitability of current projects.  
  • Mentoring direct reports by providing career development goals, meeting regularly, writing and delivering semi-annual reviews, and advocating for their career advancement.  
  • Ensuring team members are continually advancing in their certifications within the Microsoft D365 toolkit, and to meet partnership goals overall 
  • Participate in recruiting and interviewing new candidates to join Ludia 

 Skills & Competencies 

  • 7-10 years' experience setting up and leading professional services teams including the development of consulting delivery strategies & processes within the Dynamics 365 CE Team. 
  • D365 F&SC, experience is a plus.  
  •  Deep understanding of what it takes to:  
  • Initiate and manage implementation projects using a structured methodology  
  • Plan and successfully manage complex client engagements involving multiple teams in multiple locations   
  • Complete projects on time, within scope with positive financial metrics  
  • Demonstrated project management experience – project planning, execution, issue/risk management, quality assurance and deliverable production 
  • Strong ability to manage resource allocations across multiple employees to meet company utilization and financial goals  
  • Passionate and successful in mentoring others, completing performance reviews and helping grow leaders in the group   
  • Ability to add to, and refine the methodology that is used to deliver engagements  
  • Lead the build out of processes supporting the consulting services, and ensure the tech tools are in place for the consultants to use to manage their time and their projects  
  • MBA Preferred or equivalent experience. Looking for a dynamic well-rounded business leader. 
  • Experience leading at least three full Dynamics 365 CE projects is required.  
  • Excellent understanding of CE and ERP Implementation Project Lifecycles and methodologies. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics CE in the following areas: 
  • Minimum 6+ years of Functional Architect experience. 

Solution Architect Experience includes: 

  • Leading functional analysis of client business processes with customers on areas of D365 CE.  Providing best practice approaches and expert guidance on functional analysis. 
  • Leading a functional team through the project lifecycle, providing guidance and oversight for the quality of deliverables and meeting client needs. 
  • Participating in Sales Pursuits and leading discovery, system configuration, proposals, and leading client presentations. 
  • Proven track record of providing solutions and solving problems. 
  • Relevant, hands-on consulting experience working with a Microsoft Channel Partner is required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to take the initiative and hands-on role with the delivery and client teams to develop strong working relationships. 
  • Minimum of at least two Microsoft D365 CE certifications  
  • Superb organizational, writing, interpersonal, and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and meet deadlines. 
  • Prior experience working in oil and gas, manufacturing, or government contracting industry desired. 
  • D365 Power Platform implementation experience a plus. 
  • Exposure to Azure Dev Ops Services or similar enterprise planning and delivery tools. 
  • Experience leading projects using all aspects of Microsoft Lifecycle Services (LCS). 
  • Highly proficient with leading presentations using Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure Dev Ops. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Sure Step or Microsoft Success by Design Frameworks.
