Shipping Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

Located at our Byron Center, MI location in our Entry Door Division, the person in this position will assist in pulling and preparing customer orders, performing final quality checks, and ensuring timely delivery of Entry Door products.  Specifically, the responsibilities for this position include:

  • Pulling customer orders and preparing material for shipment
  • Securing and labeling products for delivery
  • Performing final quality checks to ensure orders match customer specifications.
  • Using fork trucks and order picking equipment to pull and transport orders.
  • Loading material racks and delivering them to the appropriate staging locations
  • Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of warehouse
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

This position offers a $250 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma
  • Prior warehouse experience is preferred.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills
  • Safe working practices
  • Natural detail-orientation
  • Ability to accurately pull orders. 
  • Ability to operate a hi lo (training offered)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 75-100 lbs
  • Ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly throughout shift.
