Custom Door Builder

POSITION SUMMARY

Located at our Byron Center, MI location, the person in this position would assist with assembly of exterior doors. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the proper quality, accuracy, and timeliness of assembly exterior doors
  • Working with all teams of production to assembly exterior doors
  • Paint and Stain touch up of trim and brickmold.
  • Inspection and touch up the sidelites and door panels as needed.
  • Assisting in cleaning and maintenance of assigned work area
  • Performing other tasks as assigned by the Production Supervisor

This position offers a $250 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE.   

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma/GED required
  • Prior construction experience

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong communication skills
  • Safe working practices
  • Natural detail-orientation
  • Ability to accurately read orders and assembly to customer specifications

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lb.
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
