POSITION SUMMARY

Based out of our Walker facility, an experienced Saw Operator works with granite, marble, and quartz.  Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Working with the Material Coordinator to get appropriate materials to the saw for cutting.
  • Stage and maintain a work flow of slab materials that need to be cut.
  • Working with Material Coordinator to index remnant materials in inventory management system.
  • Learn functionality of a Northwood Raptor dual table saw/jet from basic layout, machine loading, running programs and learning to program the machine as abilities grow.
  • Assist Production Manager in various tasks in stone production environment.
  • Assists the rest of the shop team in terms of shop cleanliness and maintenance.
  • Assists other shop members with moving tops and basic shop work flow.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work area

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma/GED required

  • Ability to read a tape measure and understand dimensions
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with fellow employee owners
  • Self-starter

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to do physical labor including lifting of up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours/day
  • Ability to operate a Hilo (training available
