Sales Internship

POSITION SUMMARY
This paid internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable insight into the day-to-day operations of the sales functions within Lumbermen’s and to assist in a variety of tasks and projects. Interns will be able to work alongside the sales team(s) and will complete a special project to gain valuable experience in the field and better our organization going forward. Specific opportunities this position offers include:
- Learning company philosophies, culture, and branding
- Learning communication and presentation skills
- Assisting sales support via ride-alongs and distribution of product samples and literature
- Understanding the business channels we operate in and how we go to market
- Gaining financial acumen
- Helping navigate and providing recommendations for improving our CRM (customer relationship management) tool
- Attending and assisting with the planning of sales events
- Gaining experience in social media including researching new platforms
- Researching ways to give back to the community
- Completing a special project (to be determined based on areas of interest in the above)

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of college coursework completed in Business, Marketing or Communications
