POSITION SUMMARY

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Located at our Finishing division, the person in this position works as a team to produce high volumes of custom-finished cedar shingles.  This is a fast-paced position that will work to load the dip tray and hand dip shingles to be shipped out for customers.  Day-to-day responsibilities for this position include:

  • Living Out Lumbermen’s Culture – Modeling Lumbermen’s core values while creating an atmosphere where Lumbermen’s is ‘first choice’ of our customers.
  • Equipment Usage - Gathering supplies and bringing them to your workstation.
  • Painting - Applying paint to cedar shingles and placing them into drying racks.
  • Packaging Products - Loading finished shingles into cases for packing and shipment.
  • Detail Oriented - Checking orders against completed work for accuracy.
  • Modeling Safety - Maintaining a safe and organized area.
  • Teamwork - Assisting with other responsibilities as requested by the Production Supervisor

This position offers a $300 annual clothing allowance to offset costs for work apparel, protective footwear, and PPE. 

REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma/GED required

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Safe working practices
  • Strong hand-eye coordination
  • Motivation to work quickly.
  • Ability to work efficiently.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
