Senior / Lead Frontend Engineer (Next.js, React & Web Platforms) - Brazil

Brazil

About LumiMeds

LumiMeds is a fast-growing U.S.-based telehealth company focused on weight management and long-term metabolic health. We work with a fully remote, globally distributed team and pride ourselves on moving quickly, communicating clearly, and building systems that actually work.

If you’re someone who thrives in a high-ownership environment, values structure and accountability, and enjoys working with U.S.-based teams, you’ll feel right at home here.

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior / Lead Frontend Engineer with deep experience building high-quality, production websites and web applications. This role goes beyond application UI work — you will own frontend architecture across marketing sites, product websites, and logged-in application experiences.
You will operate at a Staff+ level, setting technical direction for performance, SEO, accessibility, and frontend scalability, while partnering closely with product, design, growth, and backend teams.

Core Responsibilities
Frontend Architecture & Web Strategy
  • Own the frontend technical vision across marketing websites, landing pages, and web applications.
  • Define standards for site architecture, routing, content rendering, and performance.
  • Make architectural decisions around SSR, SSG, ISR, caching, and edge delivery in Next.js.
  • Balance conversion, performance, and maintainability across public-facing sites.

Website & Web Platform Engineering
  • Build and maintain high-performance websites with Next.js and modern frontend tooling.
  • Own implementation of SEO best practices, structured data, metadata, and sitemap generation.
  • Optimize for Core Web Vitals, page speed, and global delivery.
  • Integrate with CMS platforms (headless CMS, MDX, or custom content systems).
  • Build reusable patterns for landing pages, pricing pages, and content-driven experiences.

Advanced Frontend Engineering (Next.js + React)

  • Lead development of complex frontend systems using Next.js and React.
  • Establish scalable component architecture and design systems shared across sites and apps.
  • Define state management and data-fetching strategies.
  • Ensure clean separation of presentation, state, and business logic.
Performance, Quality & UX Excellence
  • Own frontend performance budgets and optimization strategies.
  • Drive accessibility (WCAG), responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Implement testing strategies across websites and applications.
  • Ensure consistent quality across marketing and product surfaces.
Product, Design & Growth Collaboration
  • Partner closely with product, design, and growth teams to support experimentation and iteration.
  • Enable A/B testing, analytics instrumentation, and conversion tracking.
  • Translate brand and design systems into scalable frontend implementations.
  • Support rapid iteration without sacrificing technical quality.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  • Act as a frontend authority and mentor to other engineers.
  • Review high-impact changes and guide architectural decisions.
  • Raise the frontend bar through standards, documentation, and example.
  • Support hiring and frontend technical interviews.
Platform & Backend Collaboration
  • Work closely with backend and platform teams on APIs, caching, and data contracts.
  • Optimize client-server boundaries and edge behavior.
  • Improve build performance, deployments, and runtime reliability.
What Success Looks Like
  • Public-facing websites are fast, SEO-optimized, and conversion-focused.
  • Product UIs scale without regressions or performance degradation.
  • Teams can ship new pages and features quickly and safely.
  • Frontend architecture supports both growth and product needs.
  • Frontend quality is visible and measurable.
Ideal Background
  • 7+ years of frontend or full-stack experience with strong frontend focus.
  • Proven experience building production websites, not just internal apps.
  • Deep expertise in Next.js and React, including SSR/SSG/ISR.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, performance, accessibility, and analytics.
  • Experience working with CMSs, design systems, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating at Staff+/Lead level, influencing across teams.
