Title: Lead Credentialed Trainer
The Lead Epic Credentialed Trainer (CT) plays a pivotal leadership role in integrating Epic systems expertise, adult learning principles, and education delivery across the ambulatory health system. This position partners closely with Principal Trainers (PTs) and Credentialed Trainers (CTs) to ensure the effective communication of system updates, dissemination of training content, and support of initiatives tailored to both clinical and non-clinical workflows.
Key areas of focus include patient care, scheduling, registration, referrals, reporting, and operational processes. The Lead CT is responsible for conducting onsite training, leading 30-60-90-day follow-ups, and guiding new hire development to ensure consistent competency and system adoption. This role may also provide support for building and modifying Epic scheduling templates to optimize workflows.
Serving as a subject matter expert, the Lead CT provides advanced training and support in Epic tools such as reporting, work queues, and referrals, enhancing operational efficiency, patient care, and administrative coordination. By collaborating with training teams, operational leaders, and subject matter experts, this role drives the creation of innovative training solutions, fosters a culture of continuous learning, and champions standardized workflows and documentation practices to maximize Epic system utilization and organizational effectiveness.

1. Collaborates with Principal Trainers and Credentialed Trainers to communicate Epic updates, distribute training content, and share critical system information for front office and patient access staff.
2. Leads onsite training sessions, conducts 30-60-90 day competency assessments, and facilitates new hire development for both clinical and non-clinical Epic workflows, including scheduling, registration, referrals, clinical documentation, medication administration records (MAR), injection tracking, and related processes.
3. Provides support in building and modifying Epic scheduling templates to optimize front office workflows and improve patient access.
4. Delivers engaging remote, classroom, and onsite training sessions using professional, adaptive approaches tailored to varied audiences.
5. Mentors and supports CTs and PTs, ensuring consistent, high-quality training delivery and troubleshooting assistance within front office operations.
6. Serves as a subject matter expert in Epic reporting tools, work queues, and referrals, providing advanced training to enhance staff proficiency and workflow efficiency.
7. Develops innovative training tools and resources to empower front office managers and staff in supporting ongoing employee development and Epic system adoption.
8. Applies adult learning theory and instructional design best practices to meet diverse learning styles and operational needs.
9. Collaborates with educators, analysts, IT colleagues, and subject matter experts to ensure accurate and effective delivery training.
Demonstrates flexibility and responsiveness in adapting training content and materials to evolving organizational needs; performs other duties as assigned.
Required Minimum Education. Associate’s degree required
Required Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years working in an Ambulatory Care or a related healthcare field. Demonstrated knowledge of staff development theory and/or principles of adult learning.
Epic Credentialed Trainer
Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
There is reasonable expectation that employees in this position be exposed to blood-borne pathogens.

Pay Range
$60,000 - $85,000 USD
