Senior Solution & Growth Architect
Lunar Energy was founded to transition homes to 100% clean energy—making our electricity greener, our air cleaner and our energy more safe, secure and reliable for all. We’re a fast-growing, global company building the world’s best clean energy products to electrify all homes and connect communities to form clean, resilient virtual power plants.
Senior Solution & Growth Architect
Lunar is accelerating the rollout of batteries and other distributed energy resources (DERs) across the US and the deployment of Virtual Power Plants (VPPs) with a variety of offtakers. Our Gridshare platform already manages 140,000+ devices across the US, Europe, and Japan — delivering value to homeowners, fleet operators, utilities, and the grid. We recently closed our $230M Series D led by B Capital and Prelude Ventures. We need exceptional commercial talent to take Lunar’s software and VPP business to the next level.
We're looking for an entrepreneurial leader who is part solution architect and part business developer: someone who can structure complex VPP deals end-to-end, bring deep knowledge of and grid services, energy markets and DERs, and leverage AI to automate and scale our commercial process. You'll wear multiple hats, partnering closely with Product, Finance, and Legal to take deals from initiation through delivery. This role is ideal for an operator who thrives on navigating emerging energy markets, structuring innovative deals and getting stuff done.
On a given day at Lunar, you'll likely…
- Structure and develop complex proposals across utilities, retailers, fleet owners, wholesale markets, and aggregator partners, owning the full commercial process end-to-end
- Architect software and VPP solutions that combine hardware and software, aligning with Delivery, Product, Legal, Finance, and Marketing teams
- Leverage AI heavily to automate and improve proposal, pipeline, and delivery workflows
- Own select strategic accounts end-to-end, from first meeting through negotiation and ongoing relationship management
- Coach and support the broader Commercial team on solution development, deal structuring and proposal generation
- Grow Lunar's positioning across utility and grid services markets, building pipeline and staying close to industry dynamics
- Partner with the Product team to translate customer needs into platform capabilities and go-to-market plans
Desired Skills:
- Deep knowledge of the US energy landscape, with particular fluency in VPPs, grid services, DER management software solutions
- Proven experience structuring, proposing, and closing complex SaaS deals and aggregated utility capacity contracts
- Experience working with energy utilities, retailers, and aggregators — ideally with an existing utility sales and partner network
- Solution-architect mindset: able to design technical solutions and translate them into commercial value propositions that balance the interests of multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated use of AI tools to automate workflows and scale personal output
- Entrepreneurial, operationally strong, comfortable wearing multiple hats in a complex and emerging industry
- Master communicator, able to convey complex products and services to a broad technical and non-technical audience
