Job Summary
We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer with a strong security mindset to lead the design, automation, and monitoring of our cloud infrastructure. This role is foundational to ensuring that our platform is secure, scalable, and reliable as we grow.
You’ll facilitate everything from CI/CD pipelines to cloud architecture, observability, incident response, and security posture—working closely with engineering, product, and leadership to help us build a rock-solid foundation for scale.

Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Operations:
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (primarily AWS) to support our application and data services.
- Build, facilitate and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, and more.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployments using infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools in Terraform.
DevOps & Reliability:
- Monitor system performance, set up alerts, and troubleshoot issues using observability tools (e.g., Datadog, Sentry, AWS CloudWatch).
- Implement infrastructure that supports zero-downtime deploys, scaling, and high availability.
- Define and maintain SLAs, incident response processes, and postmortems.
Security & Compliance:
- Lead efforts to improve application and infrastructure security.
- Set up and manage access controls, secret management, and secure deployment practices.
- Partner with leadership on SOC 2 readiness and broader compliance initiatives.
- Implement vulnerability scanning, automated dependency checks, and patching workflows.
Collaboration & Leadership:
- Collaborate with backend and fullstack engineers to optimize deployment workflows and infrastructure needs.
- Document systems and share knowledge across the team to promote best practices.
- Stay current with emerging tools, technologies, and risks to proactively guide infrastructure evolution.
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, infrastructure engineering, or cloud operations.
- Strong experience with AWS (e.g., ECS, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudFront, etc.).
- Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and containerization (Docker).
- Experience implementing secure development practices and infrastructure security standards.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Proficiency in building serverless architecture including API Gateway, Lambda and Lambda@Edge.
- Comfort with scripting languages (Python, TypeScript etc.).
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., Datadog, CloudWatch, Sentry).
- Familiarity with secrets management (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager, Doppler).
- Highly proficient with containerization strategies including Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, and Docker.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach to writing high-quality code.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
- A creative and experimental mindset with a proven history of using new technologies and techniques to enhance processes and improve quality.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SOC 2 compliance or other regulatory frameworks and management in Vanta.
- Exposure to serverless architecture and modern hosting platforms.
- Familiarity with network security, authentication, and secure API design.
- Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines or high-performance compute environments is a plus.

Compensation: $120,000-$150,000, based on experience and qualifications
