Sr. Project Scheduler
About the Position
We are seeking skilled Project Schedulers to join our team supporting a wide range of infrastructure projects. In these roles, you will apply your expertise in Primavera P6, scheduling, and risk analysis to review, analyze, and optimize contractor-prepared schedules for large, complex public works infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to evaluate schedule feasibility, mitigate risks, and deliver insightful analyses that ensure project success.
This posting is for future, long-term, on-site Project Scheduler positions located in the greater Los Angeles, CA, area or potentially other areas around the state.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze contractor prepared CPM schedules, baseline schedules, and contractually required monthly update schedules.
- Analyze schedules for opportunities to reduce schedule critical path duration and recover delays by creating and analyzing what-if schedules.
- Analyze contractor delay claims through the application of forensic scheduling principles for merit, quantity, concurrent delays, excusable versus inexcusable delays, compensable versus non-compensable delays, et cetera.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques to schedules for purposes of reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Apply schedule risk management techniques for risk management purposes.
- Prepare and present schedule analysis presentations.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- 10+ years’ experience with CPM construction scheduling utilizing Oracle Primavera P6.
- Experience with Earned Value Management.
- Forensic CPM scheduling skills regarding analyzing delay claims.
- Experience creating and presenting technical presentations in group settings and meetings.
- Experience in risk analysis techniques for CPM schedules (e.g., Monte Carlo analysis).
- Experience with industry standard construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Work, Excel, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
- AACE Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification.
- Expert level forensic scheduling skills, including the use of forensic scheduling software.
- Experience with Microsoft Power BI, or other dashboard KPI reporting software.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $156-260k/yr ($75-$125/hr). The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
