Project Coordinator
About the Position
Imagine working at the heart of the rail and transportation world, where trains, schedules, and major projects must run smoothly. That’s where this Project Coordinator role comes in: part problem-solver, part data specialist, and part organizer of diverse tasks. In this role, you’ll be juggling Procore data entry and uploads while keeping an eagle eye on construction progress (think daily bulletins). You’ll also be pulling together budgets, schedules, payment requests, and ensuring that DBE/Buy America requirements are on track.
This is a long-term, full-time, on-site position located in Washington DC.
Responsibilities
Maintains full familiarity with plans, specifications, construction schedules, and contractor's plans on assigned contracts, the Project Management Plan, and current safety regulations to be knowledgeable of the project team (i.e., consultants and multiple contractors) responsibilities.
Monitor daily activities and report on job progress of pre-procurement, procurement, pre-construction, design support, and construction activities.
Coordinate scopes of work and work packages, assist in the preparation of construction schedules, and prepare supporting correspondence for Task Manager’s approval.
Coordinate with relevant stakeholders.
Assist with preparation of project status reports to identify progress and monitor the project schedule, budget, and staffing plan.
Assist with financial reporting and documentation tasks.
Perform other project-related duties as assigned by the Task Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in project management and/or construction management.
- Experience of coordination of large projects with complex schedules and budget
- Strong knowledge of principles and practices of project management and contract administration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365/Suite (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Procore.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of seven (7) years of work experience in a related field, of which two (2) years shall be in the transit industry.
- 2 years in the transit industry
- PMP certification (through PMI).
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $60k-$100k/yr ($30-$50/hr.) The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
