Senior Project Manager

This is a long-term, full-time, onsite position located in Washington DC.
Responsibilities
- Planning, scheduling, and managing projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. Create detailed project plans, set milestones, and allocate resources effectively.
- Scheduling and facilitating meetings with stakeholders to manage their expectations, provide updates, and ensure that the project aligns with their goals and objectives.
- Identifying and resolving technical challenges that arise during the project. Critical decision-making regarding technology choices and project direction.
- Monitoring the performance of the project, tracking progress against goals, and reporting on the status to stakeholders. This includes conducting performance tuning, balancing, and improvement tasks.
- Providing process improvement recommendations based on best practices and industry standards. Optimizing project management processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Following and implementing established change management processes.
- Capturing, monitoring, and reporting costs incurred against budgeted values within the Program Management Controls System.
- Providing timely information enabling proactive informed decision making by management.
- Escalating cost/schedule variances and change management issues.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
- 10+ years' progressive experience in project management for heavy civil highways, roads, bridges, airports, or transit projects.
- Experience with alternative delivery contracts in PM/CM roles supporting owners.
- Proven experience coordinating a project management team and providing appropriate levels of support, coaching and influence.
- Experience with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
- Project management experience in the rail transit industry.
- PMI PMP certification.
- PE license.
- Familiarity with FTA regulations and public procurement practices.
- Experience with zero-emission vehicle infrastructure, long-range access planning, building systems, environmental compliance, electrical and communications systems, or wayside work.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $155k-$200k/yr. ($75-$96/hr.) The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
