About the Position

Are you an experienced Right of Way professional ready to take the lead on high-profile highway and transportation projects? We’re looking for a dynamic Right of Way (ROW) Project Manager to drive success across every stage of complex infrastructure developments.
In this pivotal role, you'll oversee and coordinate all aspects of ROW services — from property acquisition and relocation assistance to property management and regulatory compliance. You’ll be at the forefront of projects that shape communities, ensuring they align with federal and state standards, including the Uniform Relocation Assistance and Real Property Acquisition Policies Act (URA).
This is a long-term, full-time, hybrid position located in the greater Atlanta metro area.
Responsibilities
- Manage right of way projects from planning through acquisition and closeout, in coordination with DOTs and local government entities.
- Lead a team of ROW professionals and interface with engineers, surveyors, appraisers, legal counsel, and title specialists.
- Review ROW plans, parcel maps, legal descriptions, and cost estimates for accuracy and feasibility.
- Coordinate and manage property negotiations, relocations, and eminent domain support in compliance with FHWA and state transportation agency requirements.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
- Maintain thorough documentation and reporting per DOT and FHWA standards.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, property owners, and public stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in right of way project management, specifically in highway or transportation infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) procedures, transportation project workflows, and federal regulations.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, ROW plans, and legal property documents.
- Familiarity with transportation funding sources and compliance requirements.
- Experience with industry standard project and construction management software (e.g., Primavera P6, TILOS, MS Project, Bluebeam, RSMeans, etc.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- SR/WA certification (or progress toward) strongly preferred.
- Experience managing ROW projects in partnership with GDOT and FHWA-funded programs.
- Working knowledge of GIS, ROW management systems, and electronic document control platforms.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $75k-$125k/yr ($36.06-$60.10/hr.) The final salary offered is based on multiple factors and is thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
