Scheduler
About the Position
We’re seeking a Project Scheduler who will be responsible for the detailed review, analysis, and monitoring of all scheduling activities related to a large, complex transit project. The selected finalist will ensure the contractor’s schedules are compliant with contract requirements, accurately reflect project progress, and integrate seamlessly into the overall Integrated Master Project Schedule (IMPS). The role requires rigorous analysis of contractor schedule submittals, identification of risks, and proactive development of mitigation strategies to keep the project on track.
This is a long term, full-time, on-site position located in Manhattan, NY.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following
- Perform detailed reviews and analyses of the contractor's preliminary, baseline, and monthly schedule update submittals.
- Prepare and submit schedule analysis reports on the contractor's submittals to the Program Schedule Manager.
- Analyze the critical and near-critical paths of the schedule, identifying driving activities and comparing them against previous updates.
- Review the cost and resource loading of the contractor's schedules to help develop a baseline cash flow and resource plan for tracking progress.
- Provide all progress data and analysis for the monthly update of the program-wide IMPS.
- Identify and explain any significant gains, slippages, or deviations between the PMC's forecast dates for project and the contractor's schedule updates.
- Contribute schedule data to the project-wide dashboard, including the roll-up bar chart showing progress against baseline and critical paths.
- Assist in preparing Time Impact Analyses (TIAs) related to contractor claims for compensable delays and impact costs, using industry-accepted best practices.
- Maintain contemporaneous records of project work progress, including excusable and non-excusable delays, and mitigation or recovery efforts.
- Identify potential schedule risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies and schedule recovery efforts for impacted work.
- Support the Program Schedule Manager and Commercial Team in claim negotiations and dispute resolution for the contract.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on construction scheduling experience for large (>$500M), complex, transit projects.
- Experience working on design build projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reviewing and analyzing contractor schedule submittals (baseline and monthly updates).
- Experience with schedule analysis, including critical path methodology, cost/resource loading, and preparing time impact analyses (TIAs).
- Experience applying risk analysis techniques to CPM schedules.
- Experience creating and presenting technical presentations in group settings and meetings.
- Advanced proficiency in project reporting.
- Strong proficiency with Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite/Office 365 (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in engineering or construction management.
- Active professional certifications such as PSP (AACE), PMI-SP or PMP (PMI), and/or CCM (CMAA).
- Proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms for building interactive dashboards and KPI visualizations.
Compensation Details
The salary range listed for this role is $125k-$135k/year ($60-$65/hour). The final salary offered will be based on multiple factors and thoughtfully aligned with each candidate’s level of experience, breadth of skills, total education achieved, certifications/licenses that have been obtained, etc.
