Patient Access Liaison (PAL)
See your work in a new light.
At LUX Infusion, we’re reimagining infusion care to be more human, supportive, and connected. Inspired by lux—meaning light - we guide patients, providers, and partners through complex therapies with clarity, compassion, and confidence.
As a clinician-led, U.S.-based organization, we put people first - helping patients feel seen and supported through faster therapy starts, dedicated care coordination, and meaningful collaboration. Our commitment to inclusion, diversity, equity, and advancement (IDEA) is central to our culture, ensuring every team member feels valued and empowered to make a difference.
We’re looking for a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) – Active who wants their work to mean something — someone who brings empathy, precision, and persistence to supporting patients throughout their infusion journey.
This role can be on‑site in Overland Park, KS or Garnet Valley, PA, or remote, with a standard schedule of 8:30 AM–5:00 PM CST or EST.
Why This Role Matters
The PAL – Active plays a vital role in ensuring patients can continue therapy without disruption. By closely monitoring insurance eligibility and authorization status, this role helps remove barriers to care before they impact treatment.
In this role, your work will:
- Help patients stay on therapy through proactive eligibility and coverage monitoring
- Provide clarity and reassurance during insurance or benefit changes
- Support care teams by ensuring downstream partners have accurate, timely information
Every update, follow‑up, and conversation helps protect a patient’s access to care.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Monitor monthly insurance eligibility and authorization status for assigned active patients
- Identify changes in coverage and proactively coordinate with patients, sales teams, physicians, and reimbursement partners to resolve barriers
- Serve as the primary point of contact for patients and referral partners, providing updates on coverage, authorizations, and next steps
- Communicate insurance changes to Reimbursement Specialists to initiate new benefits verification or prior authorizations as needed
- Work closely with data entry, reimbursement, nurse coordination, and pharmacy operations teams to keep cases moving forward
- Document all patient, provider, and field communications accurately in designated systems
- Track referral progress, workload metrics, and case status to ensure timely follow‑through
- Support technology‑enabled communication and collaborate across teams to meet service goals
What We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you bring:
- 1–3 years of experience supporting patient referrals, prescription services, or reimbursement in infusion or specialty therapies
- Experience providing high‑quality customer service to patients and healthcare providers
- Familiarity with electronic health records or pharmacy patient management systems
- Working knowledge of medical or pharmacy terminology
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- A high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
- Willingness to travel up to 5% as needed for meetings or training
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience supporting prescribers, patients, and field teams in infusion or specialty therapy environments
- General understanding of insurance benefits, payer requirements, and verification processes
- Familiarity with infusion therapy workflows and patient needs
