See Your Work in a New Light
At LUX Infusion, we believe infusion care should feel personal, calm, and human — especially when care is delivered in the home. Our nurses are trusted clinical partners who help patients safely receive complex therapies outside traditional hospital settings.
We’re looking for a Part‑Time / Per Diem Home Infusion Nurse who wants their work to mean something — a Registered Nurse who brings skill, independence, and compassion to patients receiving care at home.
Why This Role Matters
Home infusion nursing requires a high degree of clinical judgment, responsiveness, and empathy. In this role, you may be the primary healthcare professional a patient interacts with during therapy.
In this role, you’ll contribute to work that:
- Helps patients safely receive infusion and nutritional therapies at home
- Supports continuity of care through skilled assessments, monitoring, and education
- Builds confidence for patients and caregivers through clear communication
- Strengthens a patient‑first, clinician‑led approach to infusion care
Your work ensures patients can continue treatment with dignity, comfort, and trust.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Administer, monitor, and discontinue intravenous therapies in patient homes
- Insert and manage IV access including peripheral lines, PICCs, ports, and midlines
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions and respond appropriately to changes in condition
- Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples as ordered
- Complete patient assessments, vital signs, and reviews of systems during each visit
- Provide individualized education to patients and caregivers on infusion therapy, line care, and symptom monitoring
- Coordinate visit scheduling, staffing needs, and communication with internal and external care partners
- Accurately document all patient‑related care, medications administered, and patient responses
- Communicate clinical concerns or reportable events promptly to physicians and internal clinical leadership
- Participate in the on‑call rotation as required to support patient needs
- Uphold all confidentiality, compliance, and ethical standards in accordance with state and federal regulations
What We’re Looking For
You may be a great fit if you bring:
- Strong clinical judgment and confidence working independently in home‑based settings
- Clear, empathetic communication with patients and caregivers
- Comfort managing IV therapy outside acute care environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility and professionalism in a per‑diem, on‑call role
Required Qualifications
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
- Minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
- IV certification with experience in central line care and management
- Valid NYS driver’s license and ability to travel to patient homes
- CPR certification
- Experience with clinical documentation and care coordination
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and clinical systems
- Willingness to participate in an on‑call rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing
- RN licensure in additional states
- Prior experience in home infusion, home care, critical care, emergency nursing, ambulatory infusion centers, or discharge planning
- Experience with PICC, port, or midline access and certification
You don’t need to check every box — we care just as much about how you care for patients as your resume.
